I got a call around 2 yesterday afternoon from Karla Parchment telling me of a puppet show which will be held in an hour in Southfield. Well, as I am one who loves puppet shows, I was off!



The puppet show was organized by a group of missionaries mainly from the 1st Baptist Church of Atlanta. They were here thanks to Elaine Schiffer representing the Follow the Source Ministries who have been working in Jamaica for over 15 years and are part of an international organization called Source of Light Ministries which is located in 83 countries worldwide.

Ms. Schiffer has been organizing missions to the South St. Elizabeth area for 7 years bringing groups in on average three times a year. She works with the Bethel Gospel Chapel located in Southfield and The Grace and Truth Assembly of God located in Yardley Chase.

The best part of the whole event was learning that the folks responsible for bringing the puppets in are leaving them with the two churches in hopes of them starting up a puppet ministry. During the last week they have visited several schools putting on the puppet show.
