paying anywhere from $$3.18 to $3.37 a gallon here on the west coast of southwest Florida
$72JA per liter of diesel!
Paying £1.10 per litre in the UK
The news this morning reported a drop in price of 44 cents per liter. Not much of a drop, but we will take what we can get.
To put the above info into perspective:
UK = $151 JA per liter
US = $61 JA per liter
JA = $72 JA per liter
Anyone from Canada want to report in?
It's $1.07/ltr (Cdn)in Calgary and using the handy dandy currency converter:
Calgary, Canada = $76 JA per litre
Our prices up here differ so much from Province to Province and even city to city. I believe Ontario & BC are even higher than we are.
Last Friday here in Ontario gas was $1.12 CAD per litre, and this morning it was back down to $1.03 CAD per litre.... it has been up and down like a yoyo the past few weeks.
I would take a 44 cent drop in price in a heartbeat. Hard to believe that 10 years ago a new gas stationed opened where I lived in Columbus, OH and they were selling a gallon of gas for 93 cents. I do a lot of driving for a living and I remember in early 2000 when gas went up to about $1.35 a gallon I wondered how I would ever get by at those prices.
That is $.44 Jamaican. That equals $.006 US. Not much of a drop - but again, we'll take a drop anytime vs. a hike.
