We once again wish to remind all of our visitors that this is an open Forum where people of all ages and backgrounds come for information on Treasure Beach. Some are looking for information about a vacation, others are looking for information on family members, and still others use this resource for information about the community as a whole.

With such a wide audience, there needs to be some ground rules on postings here. The list can be found here, but in general its: don't post rumors, be polite, respect others, and realize that you are responsible for your words. The anonymity of the Internet can be intoxicating. Please use responsibly.

We ask that you keep these in mind before you post (and at the same time want to publicly thank the 90% of people who are doing just that). Please realize that just because you can say something, it doesn't necessarily mean you should.

We do not relish our position as gatekeepers here, but as we are responsible for this web site we have a responsibility to our visitors to keep it a welcoming and informative site. Therefore we must delete messages from time to time.

Thank you for helping in our efforts to keep TreasureBeach.net a positive place and by extension keep Treasure Beach and all Jamaica positive, peaceful places for everyone.

On a similar note, since our Forum is open to the public and does not require registration, there are no limits on who can use which aliases.

If you use your real name (which we highly encourage to prevent these problems), then we would step in if someone else was using it.

Of course you are allowed to post a message to try to work out an arrangement between someone using the same name, but if you go outside of the guidelines then it won't get posted.

Hint: Saying someone stole something from you when it was never yours in the first place goes outside of the guidelines.
