In Treasure beach we use a Justice of the peace
for real estate transactions
you can close a deal within weeks for free
layers have too much of a long and drawn out process and cost$$$$10000s

here is what you look for in a real estate deal before going to a ( J P ) Justis of the peace

make sure the tax receipt are up to date
name of the person selling the land is on the receipt as the owner

an indenture form (stationary office black river)

2 land transfer form ( tax office )

go to J P with the vendor and sign the papers together and stamp by the J P
indenture and two land transfer forms
take the stamp indenture to the transfer tax & stamp duty office May pen or Kingston
you will need the vendor TRN#

take the 2 land transfer forms ( stamp by J P ) to land valuation office in mandeville along with
stamp duty receipt submit

deal done
5 working days max

Buyers be sure to exercise due dilligence and make sure that titles are REGISTERED and transactions legal and correct. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. Be sure to have proper unbiased legal representation, land survey, etc.

Ture North make sure you know what kind of title tou will get.In jamaica the seller will take a easy way out and leave you with the headache of obtain a register title.I would suggest you get the advice of a lawyer.i had a land problem and after trying a couple lawyers ,someone suggest Mr Foot in Savanna-la-mar Westmoreland,#1876-9552323 or Kingston #18769227803.

If the seller do not have a REGISTERED Title
then you need a lawyer to obtain aregister title

survey report is also important for the transaction

you can get legal representation, the advice of a lawyer and still be in deep shit

been there done that
I buy and sell property in jamaica for years
