Dear Friend of Jamaica: As you may already know, Jamlink has recently placed the spotlight on Dr. Henley Morgan and his team at the Agency for Inner-city Renewal (AIR), highlighting the tremendous progress achieved in Trench Town over the past several months, due to their untiring commitment to the welfare of the residents of the community.

Their initiative, Adopt an Angel, is investing in educating the children of the community, and urgently needs your assistance. I have been providing you with information relating to issues affecting Jamaica and our people as a whole. As I have spoken with many of you, read your emails and your letters, I have been struck by how hungry we all are for a different kind of Jamaica. It is not enough to keep talking about these issues; it is time now for action.

We need your participation in this project that will change the course for the children of Trench Town. Your donation may be a one-time contribution or you may want to consistently help with the day-to-day maintenance of education for a single child. Your contributions will be acknowledged on a special page on the Jamlink site. Status reports will also be provided each month for your perusal.

We would like to further encourage your commitment by asking for a donation. Please Click here if you would like to assist in saving the Children of Trench Town.

I promise you will not regret it. Hansen [305-218-2878] Submitted by Jamlink.com “in support of all things Jamaican”

Is there a different method of payment eg sending the funds to the organisation's bank account?

Who is Hansen? Who is Henley Morgan and what is Jamlink? A lot of questions but the posting is rather weird and the link for payments provide very little info about who is administering the funds. Can anyone provide more info?

Questions, I'd start by looking at their web site and then googling/searching for articles about them.

If you have time, give us a report on what you find.

Dr. Henley Morgan is very well known in Jamaica for his work in Trench Town and other parts of Kingston.
Among other things, he is a management consultant, who took the unusual step of moving his office into Trench Town. In doing so he wanted to demonstrate that outsiders can move into the marginalised community and thrive. He has also established a business incubator programme for aspiring young entrepreneurs in the community.
Dr. Morgan is also a minister of religion and is heavily involved in efforts to turn at-risk youth away from a life of crime.
He writes a weekly column for the Jamaica Observer.
And, no, I'm not his publicist!
Just thought I'd share some of what I know for the benefit of others.
I don't know of the other persons involved in this initiative, but if Dr. Morgan is genuinely involved you need have no fear about its credibility.
