I had the privilege of attending the Grand Opening of Andrea's Steakhouse located at Marblue Villas & Suites on Monday evening.

The ambiance was simply beautiful as we dined right on the sea front overlooking an old fishing canoe decorated with festive tea lights.

The company was delightful as many friends and well wishers came out for the event.

And then there was the food . . . Flavorful, delicious, mouth watering, none of these adjectives come close to describing how fabulous everything tasted. Sauteed shrimp, grilled chicken and filets that literally melted in your mouth. It had been a very long time since I have tasted that quality of beef and (sorry vegetarians I don't mean to offend)I thoroughly savoured every morsel!

I would highly recommend treating yourselves to a night at Andrea's Steakhouse sampling some of Axel's award winning dishes! You need to make reservations 24 hours in advance by emailing info@marblue.com or calling 876-965-3408.

Here is a copy of their menu:

Hi Rebecca do you know where the beef come from.Mad cow disease is very common???

Actually yes. The beef came from Jamaica born and raised cattle. It was so good I asked Axel where he got it from, got some myself and just finished dining on it a few moments ago. Not as good as Andrea's Steakhouse prepared it for me, but still great Jamaican beef.

As there has been no mad cow disease found here I feel quite safe, oh and mi belly full.

I can definitely second the quality of the meat - the steak that Axel prepared recently for me at MarBlue just melted in my mouth. Yum!!!

Yum, sounds really great! While we are on the subject, I would like to know where to find a good butcher who knows how to do real cuts of meat like different steaks, joints for roasting, bacon, ham, sausages, chops etc etc. Fresh produce is important to me so I would prefer a local butcher as opposed to the supermarket.

Many thanks
Nicki

Yep, the very same! They have a meat shop located next to the patty store located just outside of Porus heading into Kingston.

They serve a wide variety of food including seafood, chicken, goat, pork, etc. Schroll up to the first message in this thread to see an example of other items served there.
