We stayed at BB for 3 weeks. We're in Negril now and enjoying it. I've had a chance to put BB in perspective. That place was sweet and reasonable. Good staff, IMHO the best pool in the TB area, and good food. We had a very nice room with balcony to the sea. They offer free shuttle service to and from town, that makes it easy to get to town with no rental car; and we had the benefit of being in a quiet, rural part of Jamaica. I'd go back in the drop of a hat.

Free shuttle service to and from Kingston? Wow! Please tell me more about that place. Last time I was in TB the private fare to Kgn was too much and although I could have rented a car, I was scared to drive. Fact is I did not know my way around. Still love JA.

I'm sorry, not Kingston that’s over 2 hours away; I read my posting as saying"...free shuttle service to and from town". In this geographically familiar usage "town" can reasonably be substituted for "Treasure Beach" with most tourists when really meaning Frenchman's Bay.

To Toqus
Thanks, that was too good to be true.
"Town" to most Jamaican means Kingston.
Let's keep the board going with new topics. Thanks again.

I agree - I've stayed at Button Bay numerous times. Absolutely love the place. Fort Charles Bay is one of my favorite beaches in Jamaica. It's about a 6 mile long beach - and completely undeveloped. Lot's of perks at Button Bay - free use of bikes, sea kayaks, pool, shuttles to town, full breakfast included. I'm bringing a group there in June and we are staying in their villa, and can't wait. The owners - Gladys and William are so nice - and really make you feel like family. Another plus is that there are absolutely no sound-systems nearby. Anyone who has spent time in Jamaica knows how rare that is...

Hey Eric, we were one generation away from you at BB, we met and became friends with Andrea... you are the Eric who is a professor and a drummer, correct?

Yeah, Button Bay is a nice property. I've been thinking a good deal about that place and there were so many good things... the quiet, the views of the sea, the people who work there, and the absolute security of the place...one day our door lock broke. We walked away from the room, with my computer on the balcony (we were on the top floor in the Holland Room)with no knob on the door, let alone a lock, and the door wide open. Not for a minute did I worry about my property. This was my first time there and I couldn't have been happier. And your right, Gladys and William are wonderful people, and real fun to get to know.
