In November last year I posted a message to the effect that I was thinking of buying a parcel of land in Treasure Beach which spans several acres, and then sub-dividing it into 1 or 2 acre lots, and I invited interested persons to contact me. Several did so and I have located what I think is an attractive piece of land on the sea, which I am now proposing to sub-divide into approximately half-acre lots.
If there is anyone else who might be interested in buying a lot that size, particularly people who love peace and quiet, I'd be happy to hear from them. I can be reached by emailing: amurray followed by @ followed by nellaw.com.
Just to let you know family was intending to buy a piece of land that had yet to be subdivided and our atty. in Black River advised the procedure would take 18-36 months for all approvals and cost upwards of $30,000 US to complete. Better verify your plan with a local attorney first.
Seeker, could you please say exactly where this sea front property is located. Sounds good to me but, I'm sitting her trying to figure out where that could be as most of the "Sea Front" is already developed. Would appreciate an early answer.
Thanks Been There, I am getting local legal and surveying advice as I go along, and expect it may take quite some time (although I'd be very disappointed if it actually took as long as 36 months)!
WOW!!
Seeker is this land in Treasure Beach? Just a simple yes or no will do.
Hello Seeker... you know I'm in!
@seeker... a subdivision takes at least 24 months... and that only if you start getting on attorney´s and NLA´s nerves by e-mailing and phoning regularly...making it personal and urgent etc...
but I really doubt the cost of 30.000 US $...
Thanks Montpelier. When you say you doubt the cost of US$30,000, do you mean that sounds too low or too high?
Frequent Visitor, yes it is in Treasure Beach. I will have more details for you shortly. If that might be of interest will you please send me an email, so I can be sure to send you information?
Kelly, I wouldn't forget you!
i would love to know where the property is as well as i have been looking to build on the water. however, i must admit, i play music endlessly so i would need the lot furthest away from one craving absolute silence. thx!!
i am in tb several times a year and would love to walk the property upon my return. hope to hear soon
Well jlr, maybe there's a way to work it out, eg a good pair of wireless headphones and/or find an immediate neighbour who shares your taste in music. I'll email you as well.
jlr, I'll be your neighbor
@seeker...not sure what the cost is and if the cost depends on the size of the lot..., but the mentioned sum seems to be much too high, to me... I will try to work it out for you
Hi montpelier are you a realestate agent?
If this land is in Treasure Beach is it on the left going to Billys Bay.I think that was owned by the Clerk family.
@Just curious
