We are heading out tomorrow for Treasure Beach !(for the first time) We can't wait. I know that it has been very rainy. What are they saying that the forecast is for this week? (Either way, we will not let the weather "dampen" our trip!
Pam

the weather is supposed to change by thursday. been a stalled front induced by noel, that should move west soon.
had 10 inches of rain here up in the cockpits in the last week. been trying to dry some jeanpants since last monday.
right now, a really intersting drive is the road thru Slipe, going from the Black River main road east to just south of Lacovia.
wata about 1-1&1/2 foot deep, clear, clean water, going from one side of the morass to the other. this is on the road mind you, open the door , stick your foot out, and rinse you foot.
There is a place called Timber Bridge, where normally the water flows from east to west. For three weeks, since the rain, the flow has been backwards! A Maroon travelling with me on this road said they should build a canal here, to get rid of the water. I protested saying it would kill the morass, not to mention the reefs on the south coast. I find myself spending more time down there, fishing at Sista Lous, or timber bridge, and just observing whagwan down de morass.
D'ont worry bout the weather, it'll be ok, brin g plenty bug spray---i recommend 40%deet!
hoping to dry out up here in Accompong!
