Hi all. Headed to Jamaica for the first time on Christmas Day. Spending the first three days in Negril, then headed to TB for at least 3 days. Curious what goes on around there on NYE. More interested in cultural experience than a giant gala. Traveling with girlfriend so sitting on the beach with her at midnight would suffice as well. Thanks for any input.
The big gala is a cultural experience. Jack Sprat always hosts a live music and fireworks show. Not sure of who the artists will be yet, but always a good time.
And there will be plenty of room on the beach for enjoying a quiet start to the new year.
Whatever you decide, enjoy!
Jack Sprat is next to the beach, so you can have both beach and culture. There was great music that year, Luciano played. It is a good environemnt for hanging around and talking to folks, taking a romantic walk, and enjoying the music.
My suggestion to the team at Jack Sprat regarding the New Years eve party. We the locals who pay our money each year to watch the show, would like the entertainment to step up little bit. Each year patrons complain. My best advise is to get what is good and hot in Jamaica it does not not matter if the artist is young or old,a hint (Beres Hammond)
Okay, for all who know me well, I did not post the previous message - but as a major fan of Beres Hammond, I certainly would break my rule of staying home on NYE and would come out to see him!!!
You bet Rebecca, we don't normally travel at that time of year as its very $$$ however, we'd come down for Beres for sure!!!
how can we find out who is planned for NY Eve?
Hello - any news on who might be appearing at Jack Sprats for NYE yet? Also, is it neccessary to make any bookings for that night for dinner? We're staying at Jakes. Thanks!
