Just got a phone call from Rebecca who says that the Internet is down in the area due to 2 days of heavy, non-stop rains. So if you're trying to contact residents via email, be patient.
The meteorological report on the radio forecast 3 more days of continued rains, with a flash flood warning until 5pm today.
Electricity is off and on.
When the rain lets up, she'll try to get out and get some pictures.
To all in Jamaica, say safe and stay dry.

Update from Rebecca:
Telephone Land lines are down as well...CWJ is reporting 'all circuits busy'.
Cell phones are working
People in South Field can't leave their homes due to the heavy, heavy rains. The mountain is covered in black clouds.
Water is flowing from canal into Great Pond pond.
The canal looks a lot like it did after the 2 weeks of heavy rain. See pics here: http://webtonic.info/discus/messages/1584/8688.html
Prayers and positive thoughts are welcomed by the residents.

YEA, we are back on-line and land lines seem to be working as well!!
We've had a very rainy night and morning. The rains have subsided some in the last 3 hours, however, we are still experiencing some squalling.
The water in the canal is not quite as high as it was the other day, but close.
I spent a very wet day in Kingston yesterday. It gave me some perspective. There I was sitting still in traffic in the capital of the country due to flooding of roads.
We had a few heavy rainfalls during the night. Not raining at this moment, but more predicted across the island through tomorrow.
rain stopped... everything all right here, mon...
Yes, no rain has fallen all day. Still cloudy, but the sun has come through a few times already today.
Very glad Noel didn't hit us head on!
