Does anyone know what if any kind of Tourist accomodation is available in Accompong, St. Elizabeth. Is there any kind of Lodging?

I've always wanted to visit Accompong, this historic area that is so central to our Jamaican heritage.I hope the accommodation will be up and running by next summer. I can't wait!

The mere mention of Accompong brings memories of a textbook we had in primary school many years ago entitled "The Maroons". Some forty years later I still cherish that book because of all the imagination it evoked in me.
I've been procrastinating for years about taking a trip into Cockpit Country, and so it's nice to see that others also have that same interest. Some day I hope to make it there tony k, some day........

We have been to the festival on january 6 at accompong and it was cool and trippy and the drumming and dancing were great. tom and jeanie
