Hello Jamaicans,
Today, election day, may seem like a division among yourselves, but please remember that after all is said and done, you are still 'OUT OF MANY, ONE PEOPLE'. I know that this is a big decision, as whatever happens next will affect you, so yes, you will need to take this seriously, but please remain as safe as possible; as individual as it may seem, you are still 'ONE PEOPLE' please stay together. Also, I would like to encourage you all to vote sensibly.
Its being quite peaceful so far, please take it through the day and forward.
I will also take this opportunity to wish you all the best and hope that whatever decision you make, will be right one, the one to better you as a people and as a country.

GOOD LUCK JAMAICA!!!

I visited you for the first time last year and hope to see you soon again. Absolutely loved it!

Love
Emma, London

I hope that all my friends on the other side will eventually see that we had to change course for the continued viablity of our beautiful country. Give something new a chance since the 18 years of power had grown stale. Give Jamaica a chance!

Jamaica, The land I love, The Land I hope to spend my golden years.

Today I pray for you to make a wise and Godly choice in your selection.

Forget the sentiments and remember that God loves us all and wants us to be in harmoney.

Vote for the one you think will do what is right, ask God for the wisdom to make a Godly choice. Vote for the one who has the courage to end the violence and and give hope to the people, not only hope but actually do what it takes to rebuild the country.. There is still so little for young peiple in Great Bay to do. As a young person growingup I was so frustrated. I saw a life taken because of politics, yet the candidate climb to the top served all these years and still has not done anything for the people of Great Bay or the surrounding communities (What a fraud) after all those promises. Young people are still where they were 20 plus years later.

I would like so much to come home and contribute to my country but the crime rate has turned me off.

I am not selfish but I want to live. i know that my little neck of the woods (Great Bay) is fairly safe but I want every one in Ja to be safe.

God Bless you and I pray that you will use wisdom in you election choice.

Me to you all.

One Love

To our web visitors:

We want to reiterate our policy of not allowing posts that promote one political party over another. This includes phrases which may not mention a party or candidate name but indirectly supports one.

Thanks you for your understanding.

Two notes about the election.

According to the above articles, the results have not been certified yet and the PNP has not conceded defeat. Which simply means that its not a done deal yet.

Also, I acme across this article that I wanted to share:http://www.jamaica-gleaner.com/gleaner/20070904/ent/ent2.html

I am also praying for a change in Government. The articles above said it all, but Jamaica was not discovered by Christopher Columbus. When he sailed the WI, people were already living there. I don't wish to make an issue of this but it's just an unfair piece of history.
