The Villa Raffle ended at midnight on 8/31, with the last entrant buying a ticket with only minutes to go. We will be mailing out the last of the tickets today.

The winning ticket will be drawn the evening of Tuesday, September 4.

We still urgently need your donations to the Hurricane Dean Emergency Relief Fund. Please go to www.rainbowtreevillas.com/foundation.html to make a secure online dontion, or scroll down on that page for information if you prefer to mail a check. We have no paid staff and exceedingly minimal expenses, so the full amount of your donation to Treasure Beach Foundation will be given (in the form of a voucher for building materials) to the most needy in Treasure Beach who have been hurt by Dean. Preference is given to the elderly and infirm and others who do not have the means to help themselves.

We are a U.S. 501 (c) (3) nonprofit foundation, meaning your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Please give what you can today.

Probably because of worrying about whether or not Felix would hit Jamaica, I awoke early this morning worried about hurricanes, Jamaica, and my beloved Treasure Beach. From what I can see, Jamaica does not appear to be in Felix's path. I understand there is probably still a need for Dean donations, but is there a particular financial goal? If there is such a goal, are you close to raising it? For how long can we send in donations? Is there a minimum amount?

Excuse all these questions but I want to know what is happening. Thank-you.

There is no particular goal as the need is so great in and outside of Treasure Beach. Your donations will be used for those in greatest need within Treasure Beach, but if donations allow, we would love to help those in surrounding communities who also got hit very hard. We are attempting to get assistance to those in need as soon as possible, so the sooner you donate the better. Currently, we don't have a cut off date for taking donations, but I would assume it would be another 2 weeks.

There is no minimum. Every mikkle makes a mukkle!

Thank you for asking these very important questions.

Hurricane Worrier -

Please see the thread, "Contribute to hurricane relief and get a CD." You'll find that thread under "New in the last week."

Then see the sample slide show for that CD, "Caribbean Cantata," on my website, www.janewingate.com

There are just a few copies of the CD ("Caribbean Cantata") left on this offer. So if you feel moved to contribute to the hurricane relief fund, why not get a thankyou in return for your generosity? You can now order from my website by using PayPal. Just email me to say your order is for hurricane relief.
