VIJON (Volunteer In Jamaica Opportunity Network) would like to thank all who donated time and materials to make the summer arts and crafts camp a success this July in Treasure Beach. 30 children from ages 4-12 benefited from the camp which provided a a safe environment for creative fun, a daily snack and generous prizes, art supplies and school supply give-a-ways to assist with the upcoming school year.

We are presently seeking assistance in refurbishing the Pedro Plains Primary School computer lab. We have a volunteer who will be teaching basic computing for the majority of the school year. Unfortunately, there are presently NO working computers in the computer lab.

If you have an unneeded system with a Windows 98 or higher operating system with CD Rom drives that you would like to donate, please contact Questions@ItalJamaica.com and indicate "VIJON Computers" in your subject line.

Laptops or desktop towers are needed. Due to shipping logistics, we will be unable to accept monitors and the school does have several in place already. We will be bulk shipping anything received mid-September from the USA to Jamaica. Also needed is educational software appropriate for Primary School ages.

Alternatively, if you will be vacationing in Treasure Beach in the near future and would like to assist by personally delivering any computers or computing software, please contact us. Over 250 students stand to benefit from this endeavor and your support is needed and appreciated.
