I think its a great thing to use the Internet to chat/IM with friends/family across borders. I chat with Miss Amy in Africa almost daily.

Fortunately the tools are already available (and usually free) to do this...Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc all have free chat programs that anyone can use. All you need is a free email account with them and they you're on your way.

We'll be happy to provide more info on how to use these services to anyone who is interested.
