Please post the location and asking price. Is the title Commonwealth or Registered? Is the land buildable, not wetland(pan)?

In refrence to anyone selling land in Treasure Beach, why can't you all just give some brief info on these property when selling them. What's the big secret? just give some info so people will know off the bat if its right for them, save time.

I agree with nadhar. Why can't people put the location of the land, the size, if there's water or electricity...is it ocean front or inland. Is it Great Bay, Calabash Bay, Frenchman's, Billy's Bay, Fort Charles. Like someone said, Treasure Beach is a very big area and most people have a specific idea of what they want when they are buying land. You don't have to put the price but at least give a little more information so people don't have to go through this rigamarole. A contact # or email would also be useful.

Yes i agree but this is a community spirited place full of kind generous folk and maybe people want to be sure of the people they are telling first before divulging all information to people they havent spoken to before.
this is a community where everyone doesnt have access to a pc and it may only be very limited time they can use it for also people dont all have digital cameras.
It is always best to see land or property for yourself before committing to buy as you can never be sure untill u see for yourself and get a proper perspective of the size view etc as it is hard to get all the details exact and exact in your mind without seeing for oneself.
one other point not all jamaican people have great written english and you will often notice that people often post that a friend or relative has land for sale and to contact them on the following number rather than email as they probably dont have one.
Part of what people love about TB is the fantastic community spirit, laid back pace of life and freedom from too much technology.
if you want help you need to phone up people with land talk to them and embrace their way of life and lack of technology/education ,deal with it, if you have visited before ask people you met there to help.
Sussing out yourself is the best option or enlisting a local friend.

Mr.Cornelius James better known as AKA Curly James.Good luck with your land search and purchase.Treasure Beach is a great place to own land. This piece of land for sale is across from where the intended Sport Park will be built and not Far from Lisa that lives in the Fisherman lane.Land was previously owned by Alvin James. Hope this helps anyone interested. Serious inquires only would be appreciated.

I think its more accurate to say no land can be legally sold without a title. As with any financial transaction, due diligence should be exercised by both seller and buyer to make sure things are on the up and up.

Just to add 2 cents to Eric's point, Anyone buying land in Jamaica should make sure the title is REGISTERED and the land SURVEYED and use attorneys that have no relationship to the seller/property to eliminate conflict of interest. Also check that property taxes are paid
and the land ownership is not disputed therefore leaving room to challenge the sale. One last item, make sure the land(soil) is buildable if it's your desire to erect a structure on it.
