Congratulatory applause to these winners for their scholastic achievements. It's great to see that the males are being recognized. A society can oly move forward when girls and boys are given opportunities of enrichment which will actualize with achievecment. Thank you Treasure Beach Foundation for investing in Treasure Beach, Jamaica and the world's most precious resources, young minds.

Yes, all these scholarships are a wonderful thing. But let's remember that they exist because of three things:

1) The need by students to continue their education
2) The hard work by the Treasure Beach Foundation
3) Contributions to the scholarship fund

Have you made your contribution yet?
Now's a good time: http://www.rainbowtreevillas.com/foundation

DAVE DAVE DAVE......WELL DONE, VERY WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to all the 06/07 TB Foundation scholars! Isn't it nice to know you have such a large group of people in your corner rooting you on even after you have left Sandy Bank? Keep up the good work, stay FOCUSED...Focus is the key to reaching your academic goal, keeping your eye on the prize, do not let anything stand in your way of success!

To Dave, Donald, Adrian and Pierce: My best congratulations to you young men. For a bit I though the young ladies were going to outshine you. I have two sister and three brothers and we wer always competing - girls against boys but we are still one family.

Milly you must be so proud of your son, condrats Adrian and keep your head always above the clouds. We lost your Aunt Pat who was an RN maybe you can follow in her footsteps and become a Doctor.
Let us keep it in the family (smile) but, keep up the good work for nothing is impossible in achieving what you put your mind to. In saying that I would like to congratulate the other two young men also.
God Bless you all in your future studies and do not forget it will get tougher along the way.

Your cousin/Aunt Murnel because that's what you call me.

Congrats Dave. I don't know you personally, but I know "who" you. You see Dave, I was once just like you; I literally walked in your shoes, and wore the khaki uniforms you wear. Like you, I too received a scholarship to High School some thirty something years ago. I see the promise of limitless opportunities alight in your eyes, and I get chills with the eerie memories of bygone days that your photograph evoke in me. It's like looking in a mirror.

So let me say this to you and all the students that graduate with you: Hold on to your dreams and focus like heck on your studies. In the scheme of life, school days last just a short period, and before you know it, you could be looking back and wondering where it all went.

Grown ups like me know all to well how talent and brains are wasted on youth. I ask the Father that you and all your class mates will realize your potential, and eventually become a credit to your family and the wider TB family. You all make me proud to tell the world where I come from.

"Child of a King", those words were very moving. I am in high school and I am trying to apply what you wrote to my own life. I was in ninth grade when I began to really recognize how much "talent and brains" I have, so I guess I am not a part of the generalization you made about youth. I dread the fact that "school days last just a short period of time". That is why I am trying to make the best of the time I have. Now that I have "realized my potential" I am working on "becoming a credit to my family and the wider TB family".

I like the advice you have given Dave and I hope he will heed it. If my second notion to what you said helps at all, I am glad it did.

Congratulations Dave! I always knew you would make Sandy Bank Primary proud. Ms. Zane must be especially proud of you knowing that she was your teacher and is your aunt.

Congratulations Donald, Adrian and Pierce on your outstanding achievements. It must feel great to stand in your shoes, except for the pressure that is on you to do well and maintain your standard. Good luck in your future endeavours. Don't forget to acknowledge God on your way to great heights.

Thank you Monique for your thoughtful response. Because of you, I now realize who Dave is (by your reference to his aunt Zane).

As for you, you seem wise beyond your years. Keep doing your thing and I'm sure everything will be as you design.

I would like to thank all of you who have encouraged and motivated my friends and me. We promise you all that we will continue to do our best and we will always use this cliche "The sky is the limit" as a constant reminder with our academic performance and anything else we wish to pursue in the future.

"Child of a King", I have not even the slightest clue as to who you are;(wish I knew)however,I thank you very much. I think it would be very wise for all people doing academic work to listen to your wise and helpful advice and apply them to their everyday life.
Monique, it's so nice hearing from you. All the best in your endeavour. I know you are a hard worker.

Like Dave, I wish I knew who you were, "child of a King". Is there any chance you can share that information in the near future?

Dave and Monique, I have been offline for some time due to some technical problems, and my home computer is still not working properly. Also Dave, I'm a friend of your family, practically a part of the family myself, but the years have flown by so fast that I had no idea it was you (I've been planning to call your mom but haven't found the time yet).

As for my identity, I much prefer the anonimity of this web site, but will hopefully reintroduce myself to you, as well as try to meet Monique, the next time I return to JA.

Cool runnings.
