This past March, Marcus Oliver, Jen Hsu and I (Adrienne Kates) brought a group of 26 incredible University of Virginia students to spend a week working at Sandy Bank Primary. It was my second time traveling to TB and upon my arrival, I was immediately filled with both nostalgia and apprehension; I couldn't have been happier to be anywhere in the world, but wondered whether the Sandy Bank students would even remember me. As we walked to school on the first day, however, a taxi drove past and a number of students sitting in the bed shouted "Miss Adrienne!" I knew that not only had I come back to a place that I loved, I had returned to a place that loved me.
