Hi need to know,

There is hardly a cheap way to send anything to Jamaica. It depends on the weight, size, and contents of your package, also how fast you want the package to arrive will have a huge effect on your cost.

Call UPS,DHL,Canada Post, etc to find out their limits and restrictions. Some items are NOT allowed eg: purfume, food liquor, etc. Call & compare prices before rushing into an expensive bill. Best of luck & take care!

Keep in mind also that depending on what it is your recipient may have to pay a duty on it.

If you are sening a package via postal mail, be certain your recipient is expecting the package so he or she can periodically ask for it at the post office. Also, the post office frequently asks recipients from whom the package came -- your name and address; so be sure they know that info. We have heard of instances in which a package was returned to the sender because the recipient did not have all the info.

Postal mail, however, is not fast. As True North recommended, check with UPS, etc. because those means are speedy.

Also, if you can find someone going down to TB who is willing to carry your package, that could be the most efficient and least expensive way to get things handled.

Well, I can vouch that at least from the US even though it the letter usually reaches the ISLAND within a week it can take at least up to a month or more for it to get to Treasure Beach. Apparently according to the postmistress there they just don't have enough help once it reaches the island to sort it to the different parishes. I sent a birthday card which I though I had mailed in plenty of time and it took a month to reach the party.

If you can't find someone arriving on island to bring it in with them (always the cheapest,
best route),Fedex is pricey but dependable; UPS cheaper if a tad longer on delivery time; postal service because of time delays/theft problems is to be avoided. Customs duties will generally be due.

I am in Ontario Canada, and I often send letters to family members in Treasure Beach... In the past I fed-ex'd them to try to guarantee that they were received - but it is hard to reach many places due to the fact that there are not too many actual "street addresses". I find that anymore I have consistently better luck with regular old Canada Post. Unless it is a "holiday time of year" My letters are received within 1-2 weeks.
