Can someone tell me when calabash is going to start?

Their web site has traditionally had info on the previous year's festival.

This year they're doing a bit better and are at least showing this year's dates: May 25 - May 27, 2007.

Could someone who has been to the Festival tell me more about the types of food and other things (such as souvenirs or artwork) available at or near the festival. Also, if I stay outside of easy walking distance from Jakes, is there a good way to get back and forth to and from my guest house? Is there a special dress code, meaning do people tend to come in fancy attire or something different than shorts? One more thing, is this for adults only, or are children welcome too? Thank you for all your help.

If you go to the upper left of this screen and click on search, then search Calabash Festival, you will find loads of information about past festivals. Then go into the Photo Gallery and look up the photos of past festivals and you can see for yourself what the dress code is, etc.
