Tho he's now in Copenhagen, Oral Kerr of Bluefields Bay/Belmont District, is one of the more inventive/intuitive Jamaican jewelers working in silver, gold, natural black/brown coral (bracelets sometimes inlaid with semiprecious stone and silver), cow bone and horn, found materials and especially silver Coptic/Ethiopian crosses. He's generally back on island in summer from Denmark. sometimes selling at the Calabash Festival the last weekend May. For more info, contact his father, Esau Kerr at esaumary@hotmail.
An example of one of his signature coptic crosses can be seen on the frontispiece photo of

did anybody have any luck.
I collected the silver bangles years ago and found them at jewelry stores in bigger cities...mo bay, ocho rios...and at the airport. Probably find them in jewelry shops in Black River, Mandeville and in Santa Cruz too. Seems like everybody still wearing them so they can't be too hard to find.
You can find them online and here is one site selling them: http://www.jamaicanjewellery.com/
I hope this helps; I collect them too!
