Try Mar Blue or Taino Cove, both easy and short
walking distance to Tranquility Bay.

I am always pleased when I see posts from parents visiting their children at TB here. My son was at TB and had it not been for his going there we (my wife, daughter, son and myself) would not have found this wonderful place we now look at as our second home community. We have now been to TB many times in the last several years since he has graduated and will continue to go back year after year (on good years, maybe twice).

Parent - My first visit we stayed at MarBlue. Axel and Andrea were wonderful and don't worry about transportation as the school will send drivers to pick you up each morning and take you back (just let your Family Rep know where you are staying).

We have stayed at Sunset, MarBlue, and enjoyed both. Sunset will give you a small motel feel. The owner Corey is great and will even give you a ride if you ask.
MarBlue was a little more like a visit with friends. You have your hotel room, but can eat in the breezeway. I know they have added on since we first stayed there when they only had 4 rooms.
If you can swing some extra time when visiting, look at getting a guest house. That is also a great way to relax (and from a parent who has gone through PC's there, having a few days to just relax can be WONDERFUL.)
Some nice guest houses with full service were Unforgettable and Rainbow Tree. (I have stayed at Both and enjoyed them both for a nice quiet relaxing time.)
There are many other guest houses that you might find enjoyable as well.
During one of our visits, Taino cove had just opened and we went to the grand opening celebration they had there. It is also a nice hotel and you can see the school from there. (About 1/2 block walk). It is definitely the closest, but again speaking from experience, you may want to get a bit further than that from the school just for your down time.

If you have any questions you can also email me. Always want to share what we learned, not only about this great community that we now love to visit, but also to parents of students at TB that may have questions. I am sure Eric doesn't want to turn this into a Tranquility Bay posting so if you have a question, you can email me rather than posting here.
