And just as the Children's Christmas Party has become a Treasure Beach tradition, so has the tree lighting celebration held at Kingfisher Plaza every Christmas Eve.

I don't think any other event held during the year enjoys as good of a turn out of TB folks as this event. It is so much fun to see everyone gathered together, families and friends visiting for the holidays reuniting with everyone. Approximately, 500 people gathered under the tree, singing and dancing to great gospel music, celebrating all that is good about this season. If you haven't guessed this already, this is one of my favorite events of the whole year!

Again, special thanks must go to the sponsors:

BREDS and Darin James who coordinate this wonderful event.

Thanks to Brother Vil and Sister Veron for the wonderful variety of singers. The music this year was just great!!

Thanks to Miss Dolly, Miss Nanny and Mas Harry whose businesses are located at the Kingfisher Plaza and TB.Net for donating funds towards the lighting of the tree.

But most of the thanks and kudos go to Oral Ebanks and crew for working so hard for 5 days prior in stringing up the lights on the tree. This is no easy task and takes hours upon frustrating hours. Think about how frustrating it can be to string lights on your own tree at home, (you test them, string them, turn it on and they all go out!) then times that by 100 and this is the size task they undertake.

We all should express our gratitude to Oral for his dedication to continuing this very special TB tradition.

There are nuff photos in the photo gallery recording this special event.

Enjoy the photos and Happy Holidays to everyone!
