While I didn't know Miss Berry very well (much to my detriment I have learned) some of my best friends were her best friends. I want to take a minute and tell those how knew and loved her that I was lucky enough to see her (and Anthony's) son Elvis play with his band last night in a little club in Austin.

It was a great show, he is a great singer, and the band played some really powerful music. All the while I kept thinking that she would be very proud of him, and that her friends would take some comfort in knowing that her creativity and passion are alive and well in her son.

Ahhh yes, He is indeed a wonderful singer and musician. I was lucky enough to spend Berry's last Christmas with her and her boys and her family. The year before Berry and I had sat and ate fried egg sandwiches together sharing stories and tears feeling very alone. Berry vowed to never have another Christmas like that. So she worked her a$$ off and got her whole family to Treasure Beach (except Marissa). She invited myself and Clara who was only 4 months old to join her family because we were also family to her. I remember feeling so honoured to be included. And I loved watching the dynamics of her and her family together - such tremendous love for one another. I remember watching her eyes follow "her boys" all night long with such love and pride. Elvis had come down with a fistfull of his new CD for his Grandmother, mother, brother, etc. Berry played it over and over all night long in the house. She was revelling in both Osgood's recent movie success (Legally Blonde), and Brook's wonderful music.

I am glad that you got to check his band out Eric... I hope one day to do the same. And I am glad to hear that he is still creating music too!

Totally lost in his music (it's so great). He is going places. His mother would be proud.
