Hey everybody!! Just being thinking ; could we include a little news section on the site? not necessarily bad news but all news. Just something for people who go on daily, to look forward to knowing what's being going on in the community. Maybe include a little sports involving the local teams (basketball, cricket, football, etc), and also maybe touching a little on the weather, and so on. I think through doing something like this daily, many activities will be sponsered by even people overseas who are from or even just visited TB. This in turn will help to mold and push youghsters from the community to try both academics and local sports. Who knows how far they will go? Well done to Gillian Taylor to have gone out and do what she did, but which other young person had being that far lately?

I go on the site quite regularly, (almost dailY), and most of the times, its just the inspirational thoughts from Miss Glasceta Honeyghan, that I can read and say 'YES I'VE RECEIVED THAT'. I just think it would be nice if someone who is in TB at the moment to just say something regarding the community daily.

Miss Glas, I think you are a very inspirational woman, you touch lives of even people who never met you, and I pray that God will continue to bless and keep you as you continue to inspire everybody around you, everywhere you go. Keep up the good work and God Bless you.

Could we have some privacy in our Community? I think the site gives enough information already. Soon persons will want to come into our homes to get news. There is information on deaths, births, events happening, birthdays etc. What more do you want? I think that's enough.

It is my humble opinion that this site serves its purposes by providing all the updates we need. For the most part, any item of news usually make it on the site. So "Just Thinking", if you really think about it a little bit longer, you will realize that a lot of what is considered news as it relates to the TB community is posted on the site. As to the violation of privacy of the community, I doubt that would ever happen even if there was a section allocated to news.

Maybe we should stop shining so much so we stop attracting attention. Guess that goes for Jamdown in general...The Cultural Superstate!

wow...I guess I'm "Dem" and all I can say in "Dem" defence...is it's that home style feeling that hooked me to TB...not the color of your underwear!!!...but I really can not imagine everybody knowing my secret favorite place on the planet...sooo...I get the feelings of enough is enough!

Hi again everybody! You are all taking this right out of proportion. I am from TB too. but living abroad. Therefore, I agree with privacy. If someone is gonna post news, they would obviously use there discretion in what not to post.

I am extremely disappointed that noone could see the positive impact of keeping people, who are away, posted on how to help build there community, or to put in place something to give young people options in sports or other activities. Activities which can give opportunities to people with potential who cannot afford to push themselves. People such as myself would love to help sponser someone who can go outside of TB and represent. I am sure that sometimes people are there with so much ability to go far and all they need is the financial opportunity to do so.

I still stand by my opinion, of seeing the bigger picture and knowing that it would make a big difference to someone out there. Its a big pity that more of you cant see that.

We would be even more of a community if so many of us would try not to grab the negativity out of everything.

If someone faas enough dem will find out anything dem set dem mind to anyway.

Then again there is a culture of secrecy on many levels that has evolved from our history.

I agree...Go with the flow...but keep your eyes open and make sure you dont loose the oars!
