Does anyone know anything about dry land crocodiles?

I used to think it was a fable until some older heads confirmed that huge crocs were sometimes found way inland in Jamaica.

I have bucked up many land sharks and daytime duppy but no crocs yet! :-)

Justice these crocs do inhabit the marsh land, but they do venture for a better feeding ground .in the rainy season they go along way in sreach of ponds ,which provide more food .the frist croc reaches a pond ,dominate that area .its mostly the male that venture ,when its time for mating ,he would call the female ,by balling like a bull .when the water in the ponds drys up the croc would bury itself in the mud and stay there for a very long time.did you hear the story about the woman that went to the pond to laundery ?.well what happen she wash and put the clothes in a boiling pot to boil ,but little did she know she built the fire on top of a croc that bury in the mud .well the next thing she know, is that her clothes ,boiling pot and fire took off like a bullet. so if you met a croc on the road just take one side ,and let him/her go by .they are shy and mostly afraid of human .crocs are diffrent from alligaters .alligaters hunt its food ,eating anything ,including humans ,you would have to realy carless to harm by a croc, like the lady that went fishing at black river .how should a croc know the diffrent between a human hand and a fish.fell safe there are no alligaters in jamaica.jamaica did have alligaters(alligater pond in manchester) ,but they went in extinction.

Thanks denise, probably in the old days there were more ponds and more crocs further inland.

Could they have wandered into the mountains? janga, river mullet etc must have been fat and plentiful.
