I have attended several meetings lately where the buzz is all about the World Cup Cricket which Jamaica will be hosting Feburary 5 - March 28. This is a great honor for Jamaica to host this prestigious event and the organization that goes into this is mind boggling.

My question is are any vistors coming to Treasure Beach during that time also going to be attending World Cup Cricket?

Just curious.

Lots of UK & Commonwealth (India, Ireland, Africa)inquiries we're seeing, Rebecca; but with matches scheduled for Sabina Park/Kingston and the new stadium in Trelawny which opens it all on 11 March, the TB to matches distance daunts many, even if Kingston lodgings unappealing, and the big screen at Junction of live matches seems not a visitor draw. On the North Coast in Trelawny, it a whole nutha story...

Then, a l-o-n-g early am drive to Kingston to get there when gates open and lines form earlier, even for ticket holders at 7:30am. Rebecca, did they abandon the entire big screen 15-location idea or is there another venue than Junction?

Ireland is playing on St Patricks Day (17 March-huge holiday!) i know that tour operators here in Ireland are offering packages which include flights, transfers to the matches and accomodation in Ochos Rios - (all inclusive of course, why cant they let people discover the beauty of Jamaica for themselves?)

I'm not a fan of AI's but that is the way many people make the 1st trip to Jamaica. If they get off the resort they'll be back (and most likely not AI).
