Hi- I know I should know this, it's been asked so many times, where is there high speed internet availability in Treasure Beach? And, about how much would I expect to pay?

Thanks!!

The BREDS office is open Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It's my understanding that the bank of computers they have there are available most of that time at J$100/hour (as an Internet Cafe). They are high-speed; that means much faster than dial-up, but it is not like the U.S. cable modem service (or similar).

Jack Sprat and Southern Market Supplies (located next to the ice factory) also have high speed wireless available. Ask at the accommodations you are staying. Many now provide internet access.

Hi Rebecca-
Thank you! I thought I'd seen some wireless stuff at Jack Sprats in April...
We're staying at Pelican's Reach again - so no internet there...(and that's a GOOD thing :-)

I didn't realize it was you, Patty. Yeah, that is a good thing!

I may be able to find a connection for you in Great Bay, if you really want it. Let me know if you would like me to look into it for you.

How about a list of rentals with internet access.

Where are the closest post office and libraries with internet? Are they all not supposed to be connected and cheap.

Properties with Internet access:
La Sirena, Billy's Bay
The Buccaneer, Billy's Bay
Mar Blue, Old Wharf
Cory South offers WI-FI as does Jake's.
Blackberries also work well in TB.

Where exactly is the BREDS office, please?

There are several other properties with internet. A few that I know of off the top of my head are:

Doubloon
Cacona Beach Cottage
Viking's House
Rainbow Tree
Rainbow Point

I'm sure there are more which I just am not aware of. To be sure, just ask when making your reservation where the nearest internet access is located.

Ken, the BREDS office is located in Calabash Bay at the entrance to Old Wharf Rd. in the Kingfisher Plaza.
