IT'S BEEN 34 YEARS BUT IT FEELS LIKE YESTERDAY, WHEN YOU ASKED GRANNIE TO CALL THE PASTOR. AS YOUNG AS WE WERE WE KNEW IT WAS TIME TO SAY OUR GOODBYES. THE WORDS YOU SAID TO GRAMPA WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN "PAPPY DON'T CRY I AM GOING HOME" AND SEEING DADDY BITTING INTO THE DOOR AND LAMP SHADE THAT NIGHT LEFT A HOLE IN OUR HEARTS, BUT AS TIME WENT BY WE FILLED IT WITH MEMORIES OF YOU. WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW VERY MUCH WE STILL LOVE AND MISS YOU. WE THANK YOU AND DADDY FOR RAISING FIVE INDEPENDENT GROWN MEN AND WOMEN. THE VALUES YOU GAVE US WE HAVE PASSED ON TO OUR CHILDREN WHO, ALTHOUGH NEVER MET YOU, LOVE YOU JUST AS MUCH. OUR CONSOLATION IS THAT DADDY IS WITH YOU. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH. YOUR CHILDREN: ELENA, BRENDA, MITCHELL, AND YOUR TWO YOUNGER BABY BOYS LLOYD AND PAUL

I remeber Miss Velma i still say she was one of the prettiest women Treasure beach ever had.
Her Beauty was like no other, she made my first memories of Treasure beach very pleasant.
I grew up around those 5 children she left behind and they were all a pleasure to be around.
I feel your pain but you've all become adults and have great memories to speak of now.
My love to you all,
Ellena,Brenda,Mitchell,Paul and Lloyd.

When I first met Brenda she began to tell me all about you and now, each day she continues to mention your name or something you would say or do. It is sad for me to not have met you but I do think I know you and see you in your daugther.

respectfully, your son-in-law, Ulric Gordon-Lewis

My memories of you are so vivid because you see, we shared the same first name. It has been 34 years since you left us, but the memories linger. Sure you were kind, sweet and so very thoughtful and always smile that beautiful Velma smile whenever I saw you. RIP my name sake, as I continue to use 'our' name with pride.

Growing up as a little girl I always hear my Aunt Edna and some of my favorite cousins, Foley (Paul) Lloyd and Brenda shared some of the most beautiful moments they have of you. They spoke of you not in the past, but in the present. Because your spirit is alive in their hearts. Your character and graciousness was unparrallell. Your soul and beauty transcends deeply into the hearts of the family and this is one of the reasons why it is so hard to forget someone with so much royalty. Aunt Velma you are a treasure to our family and Treasure Beach. Although I did not know you, your children talked about you so much that I felt like I knew you.

We love you and miss you dearly.

In Loving memories of a wonderful mother, even though i was only knee high, i remember you like it was yesterday. I've got yours and daddy photo on my bedroom wall and also in my wallet, so i know that you are both watching over me/us.
Many years have gone by, but you are never out of my thoughts, now that we all grown up i often wonder what it would be like having you around. Every time I'm making a decision i say to myself, i wonder what mama would say. It was very hard growing up without you, many thanks to my
sister Eleanor/daddy and our wonderful grandparents for seeing us through the hard times.
As i have said before, you will never be forgotten, ive got your picture hanging on the wall.
Love and miss you mom, words can not describe one's feelings.

Your loving son
Lloyd.

This is to both Mum amd Dad I am asking you both to watch over someone very special at this moment and time, they need your wings around them. To this special person I say: When the time is right for a choice to be made you will know and God will assist you through it.Until that time be sure that merely keeping close to him guarantees your moving in the right direction. Until then, you are precisely where he wants you to be. So with the help of your Parents please feel comfort that your are being guided by three wonderful angles.
Our arms are around you,
Brenda, Ulric, Marcus, Nugget, Otis and Alie
