We were thinking of taking a day or two trip to TB from Negril when we visit in November. We have three little boys, ages 5, 8 and 10. Is TB appropriate for little ones? Is there plenty to do and restaurants are o.k. with them?

Thank you,
Jennifer

The open air restaurants are perfect for kids, and the food is tasty. Pizza can be gotten at Jack Spratt. A full meal with many choices can be ordered in advance at Sunset Villas (at least an hour before), and then eaten on the terrace overlooking the sea. Sunset Villas is a good place for kids: my son loved the air conditioning and the small pool, I loved looking out over the sea while I kept an eye on him.

If the kids like sandy beaches, waves, swimming in coves, sea shells, climbing on rocks, chasing lizards, poking at crabs, watching fishing boats, and climbing up trees, they will have a blast.

My sons (age 7 & 2)have been going to Treasure Beach at least once a year since they were born...They both love it! My oldest has made many friends in his 8 trips to TB, and has recieved nothing but the most loving treatment from everyone there. There are many areas for calm swimming, boat tours, YS Falls, etc.. and there are always lots of kids on hand to play with. Restaurants have all been excellent for kids..and I second the Jack Sprat recommendation for pizza!I usually take a small kids kit of specific meds etc that you might like to have with you just in case.Fell free to e-mail me with questions....

Sunsplash Villa would be a great place for the kids.

I would worry a lot more about Negril being appropriate for young children than Treasure Beach. At least from a safety and moral standpoint. In TB, everyone knows everyone. Not much goes unnoticed.

Expect for your children to see topless and/or nude bathing in Negril. Would take our children to Treasure Beach, but not Negril.

You can check out Button Bay. We have a swimming pool with a slide that is fun for the kids.
