There will be alot of people visiting T.Beach for Christmas - New Year period, many of them are past students of the Sandy Bank primary and basic schools. This presents an opportunity for the school board to keep a fund raiser/reunion, to raise funds for both schools.A little food, music and drinks can raise alot of money.Any takers
I think it's a very good idea.
It's something I have pondered many times. How great it would be to see some long lost faces
I think I need to make a distiction, for purposes of identification, between myself and the other 'Earl' on this message board.
Suffice it to say that the idea mooted above is a good one, worthy of support.
On that I am in agreement with my namesake.
I think we should have a fair on boxing day at Sandy Bank School. That would be nice to see old friends, that would help the school and the community.
I'm not living in T.B at present, so me doing the planning is not practical. Is anyone willing to take up this idea with the relevant people?.It would be lots of fun for a good cause.Any good suggestion on how this could happen?.
Irecectly attended my school reunion in Canada & i can tell you that it was worth the trip out of the states to be there , its held yearly & if i can make it i surely will be there; so for all the past students of a wonderful comunity i say do it to help the present students& teachers its called giving back to your comunity
We would like to give back to the community, maybe we should get in touch with Bev Moxam the principal and see if we could have a boxing day of fun at Sandy Bank School.
i think having a fair at Sandy Bank School would be a great idea to help the school and reunite with all the old friends. To my knowledge a lot of us from Canada will be home for Christmas.
How about all the past student in Canada have a party here and raise some money. New Yorkers can join us too
that would be a excellent idea we all will support it.
Any one intrested in taking on the planing of this very important issue of TB. School re union an idea like this cant simmer & disapear the reunion i travelled to Canada for was to benefit 3 school in my area in Manchester there is also yearly ones held in the USA where i live . I know the school has educated some very deeply commited men & women from TB. who will not let this idea slip by i will be watching out for the announcement on the first stage of its planing with love to TB.
what an excellent idea. You know what would be even more inteesting.I think we should not just have one fun raising. We should have several because for one we have the older generation and the younger generation (past graduates)of Sandy Bank School. I think this would be great.
