I've been told most all fishermen are coming in today. The sea is currently very calm and we are having off and on rains showers. It is hurricane hot, meaning very humid and not a bit of breeze.

Everyone is preparing for the worse and hoping for the best.

As I type this I am looking out at sunshine and lots of blue sky.

I'm thinking of you all. I've got the National Hurricane Center's site up non-stop.

We are all breathing a bit easier seeing the track of the storm heading north of Jamaica. However, we are still braced for lots of rain and heavy winds over the next 36 hours.

There was a strong downpour a few hours ago, but now the stars are out.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those in Ernesto's path, especially in the anniversary week of Katrina.

We are seeing the outer band clouds this morning, but not a bit of rain overnight.

We're thinking of you all and glad to hear Ernesto decided to cut a different path!

Well, we've been blessed with a beautiful sunny day. The sea is high, but not so rough. There is a set of rain clouds coming in from the west, but this is pretty normal for this time of day and time of year.

No rain last night and woke up with the sunshine this morning. Thank God Ernesto has turned his back on us.

Our thoughts and prayers now turn to those being affected by Ernesto and we hope he will continue to loose strength.

Very happy to hear that Jamaica has been spared, but look out Cuba and Florida!

Glad Ernesto spared JA, but now he's on his way to South Florida. As we got the hurricane watch this morning people started lining up for gas, water, and other hurricane supplies. Driving home tonight, most if not all the gas stations were all ready out of gas. I pray for the safety of everyone in his path.

I just spoke with my sister in Miami. The prediction is they will start seeing the storm arrive around 12 today, but the most intense part of the storm will be coming tonight.

Wishing all those in Ernesto's path safety and may he treat you the way he treated us - and leave you alone.

Just got off the phone with my brother-in-law in Miami and he said they just had one strong thunderstorm and that was it.

Thank God Ernesto treated them the same way he treated us.

Wishing safety to all those still in his path!

Ernesto was a flop (Thank God) I'm in Pembroke Pines, FL and the storm was not as big as the national hurricane center made it seem. A few scattered showers a little breeze and that was it. Our power didn't even go off.
