VIJON- Volunteer in Jamaica Opportunity Network

Space is still available for groups of college students interested in having an "alternative spring break" in Treasure Beach during spring break 2007.

Rather than spending a week partying, students have the opportunity to help our local primary school or other community groups by sharing their time and talents.

Housing, meals, transportation and tours are all provided. Group leaders trip is free of charge, and thanks to discounts provided by local businesses and tour operators, participant cost is very small.

Weekdays are spent volunteering at Sandy Bank Primary School. Free time is spent enjoying our local community, as well as venturing out for some exciting day trips.

This is a unique opportunity for college students who might have never visited Treasure Beach without such a program. Sandy Bank Primary has already benefitted tremendously from past participant's hard work and contributions.

We are looking forward to hosting next year's groups and invite you to contact us if you have an interest in participating next spring.

Please note individual volunteers are also accommodated throughout the year, not only to volunteer at Sandy Bank Primary School, but also with other community groups as well.
