We've got a technical glitch that is stumping us right now, and we need some more information. If you have a few minutes, give us a hand.

Here's what we need:
1) Go to the Where to Stay page (it wil open in a new window)
2) Click on the Blue Marlin Villas link in the list of properties
3) Click on the see the site link.
4) See if the Blue Marlin page fully loads. Or if only parts of it come in.
5) Click on links in the site and see if they work.
6) Report back with the results of steps 4 & 5 and what type of computer (windows, Mac) and what version of browser (Internet Explorer 6, Firefox 1, etc) you're using. (If you don't send the computer type and browser type, the report is meaningless to us.)
7) Repeat the above steps, but this time see how the Cacona Beach Cottage link works.

Thanks!

TBNet

Loads quickly and fully. Links work fine.

Using Windows XP Pro, IE6

Good luck!

OS: Win XP SP2
Browser: Firefox 1.0.7

Everything seems to fully load ok and the links work.

One content comment on the rates and info section . . . You might consider co-locating how many nights the quotes are referring to next to the dollar amount . I see the week-long stay assumption is mentioned lower on the page, however if a denominator of nights is associated with the numerator of moolah ($) it might help the casual browser to quickly frame how expensive the accomadations are.

ON IE, your photos/graphics aren't uploaded. PC/laptop is all that really counts since MACs
are a tiny fractional part of viewing market/i.e.,ignore the netscape-style adaptations
if you have to...

Load time from 'the site' link in green copy listing is prob. Rates in chart are also wrong.

Hi Eric-
I'm using a PC with windows, on Internet Explorer 6.0

the first page fully loaded, but only after I tried the links. None of the links worked for me.

Eric,
I tested the site and it opens in your frame, however when I try to click any of the Blue Marlin links they don't load. The bottom half of the screen (the blue marlin frame) stays blank.)
I am running winXP with IE6 and I am up to the lastest hotfixes/patches.
I created a quick frameset and just opened google on 1/2 the screen and blue marlin on the other and it worked ok on my machine, so it appears to be something in the way you are opening that page within your frame/iframe.

Gil, since some work and some don't I'm still not convinced its the problem of the site, though it does tend to point that way.

When I test it opening into a new window (target='_blank') the page works fine. When I have it open in the parent window (target='_parent') as it does now to work with the frames, it causes problems. Can you change your test to see what happens when you use target='_parent'?

And this happens on some browsers, not on others.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

For those of you who had problems opening Blue Marlin, what happens when you try the same thing with Cacona?

Thanks,
TBNet

Hi Eric, I have a laptop with windows xp and IE6. Blue Marlin site came up without photos and all links were blank. Cocona loaded just fine and all links worked, but no audio.

I had no problems with Cacona's site.

Blue Marlin page loads fine, as does Cacona.

I'm on an older machine... 6 years old, running WINDOWS 98 using the MSN Explorer browser.

No problems with either site.

Tested with two browsers:

OS: Linux (2.2 series kernel)
Browser: Mozilla 1.2.1

OS: MacOS X (10.3.9)
Browser: Safari 1.3.2

Morning. Where to Stay; 'the site' link takes you to BMV home page, however, index pages within are blank. Using Microsoft Internet Explorer. Direct link to Blue Marlin Villas shows all.

Thanks for all who are helping with this, but its also important to repeat the steps using CACONA the second time. I need to know if its isolated to Blue Marlin or if all the VIEW THE SITE links are breaking as well.

Thanks

i also am still having trouble linking through your site to blue marlin, i get the main page and music, but can go no farther, however, if i google bluemarlinvillas.com and go directly to the site, all is well, so i think it is a problem at your end.

Cacona and all others fine, btw.
Blue Marlin remains problemmatic.

No problem with site from NETSCAPE

Same ism's here, Eric. Blue Marlin's homepage opens up fine in your frame on IE, but clicking any of the links yields blank pages of whiteness. However, Cacona's works fine in my IE.

I tried your steps in IE, Netscape and Firefox. The only browser that the blank page happened was IE. With the others, all was fine.

With Mac OSX 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3.2, most all is irie on both sites except (a) the Blue Marlin counter did not show and (b) the movies on Cacona would not load. All internal and external links fine.
