Our deepest sympathies to the family of Miss Van who passed away last night. She was 81. Miss Van leaves her husband of over 45 years, Mas Lancel (caretaker at Lyric), five children, grandchildren, and many many friends.

Miss Van was a kind, peaceful and generous woman and will be missed.

I have the most wonderful memories of Miss Van. My father had known Lancel since they were both young men and when we built Lyric 35 years ago Lancel was the one that kept that house together for us. As children we spent every waking moment with Lancel and Miss Van's son Mark either over at Lyric or over at their house. Miss Van always had a fried fish for us, or plums or some treat. She used to boil the biggest dumplings for my sister Sarah just because she knew how much she loved them. She was an incredibly kind, thoughtful, caring and gentle person. We were very lucky to have seen her last week and I can still see her sitting on the verandah over at her house. We will all miss her terribly...she was huge part of our youth and childhood. For the rest of her family...Lancel, Mark, Sharon, Lillith, Carvell and all the rest you know that we are always thinking of you.

To the Graham family

It seems like just yesterday I heard her voice saying sweet loving words of comfort and encouragrment.Today they still ring so sweetly in my ears. The short time I knew her she touched my heart. During her illness she was very brave, strong and fought to the very end.So sleep on my darling friend you did your best you gave your all. The love she gave will always be cherished never to be forgotten.

Sweet Dreams Goodnight

My sincere sympathy goes out to Mas Lancel and all his children on the passing of Miss Vaneta a beloved wife and mother. My mother and father were friends of this beautiful kind couple and I had the opportunity of talking with Mas Lancell when he came to show his respect on the passing of my mother.I would think he was there when my father passed on also but, my head was in such a fog seeing my parents died only three months apart I was not sure of all the good kind people that joined me and my siblings at his funeral.
My prayers are with you and the children at this sad time but God will grant you all the strength needed to get through it all.

My heartfelt condolences to Mas Lancel, Carvel, Sharon, Lillieth, Mark and the rest of the Graham family. I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Miss Van, she was a very special lady, loving and very kind. I was happy I had the pleasure of seeing her in December, when I was by Aunt Renee and she came down there, she was so happy to see me, she gave me a big hug and kiss, I also got a piece of cake. Miss Van will certainly be missed and her beautiful memories will always be remembered, she was such a gem. i would like to leave you all, with these comforting words from revelation 21 verse 4 - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Love Christine
