To all the fine folks of Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts that have supported our businesses in Treasure Beach, we hope you are not affected by the severe weather.

Thanks for your heads-up. 12+ inches steady rainfall since last Friday,a mini-break this weekend, more rain for yet another week. The sump-pumps are very busy....as is the increase in inquiries of people trying to get away from the mess and to, guess where? ;)

Yano what? I'm thinking about starting a new business. I'm going to call it, "Ark Builders of New Hampshire" and create custom arks. Then, during the off season, we can rent our arks out to you folk in the south! :-)

K I'm all rained out. K

I don't think there's any off season for us; looks like we might need the arks now so better get that Ark Builders of New Hampshire started asap. It started raining in the afternoon yesterday has not stop since; thunderstorms after thunderstorms and golf size hail in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area. There is a shortgage of Roofers. Those of us who have minor roof damages from Hurricane "Wilma" and are still waiting to get them fix are about to have major ones.

We had a good rain storm around 4 this morning. Still a bit overcast today, but the sun is peaking out from time to time. I guess the rainy season is on all of us.

And don't forget us in South Florida. Our area is the king of flooding. Many of the homes with tarpaulins (from Wilma) are getting a beating. What can I say? I'm just happy that I have my real home in Jamaica--if there's flooding there, it's easier to run up to the hills or sleep under an almond tree.

Jane Wingate, who did the CD book CARIBBEAN CANTATA, with over 2,500 pix of island, many TB, just spent 2 days convincing the police to let her cross the blockades and yellow tape to shoot the raging floodwaters in Farmington and Milton --backcountry NH. Once she's edited shots -- there are many -- she'll probably be happy to post a few here so you can see what cold northern spring raging waters -- NOT in Great Bay nor Pedro Cross nor the high ground of TB look like up here in rural New England.
