Perkins is gone and I am utterly disgusted.
I would have expected the people of TB to flock to the microphone to voice serious protest about the neckbreaking condition of each and every access road to TB. And I am not just talking the stretch below the policestation, but, indeed, each and every one, not last the Fort Charles Road.
may I remind you that itīs not favors you would be begging. It is a basic duty of the government to provide usable roads.
Forgot Bob already? Get up, Stand up ...
What a lost opportunity to go public massively.
But what do I know?! Probably you intend to fly or ship in your foreign visitors. And what are we ordinary people gonna do?
I am, a very concerned and disappointed St.Eliz. citizen who used to come to TB twice a week since 25 years, mostly with guests and visitors.

Baff,
you are so right. It is not only the main road leading into Treasure Beach, it is as well the Fort Charles Road that is daily needed by so many local residents who need to go back and forth between TB and Black River. The roads make their daily lives so difficult, we should equally speak up for this road.

@ soji 0
I read it and I`m in, of course. As a matter of fact, I tried on Neville Smith from as far back as the end of last year. Naturally, the answer is always īno moneyī. Now, I donīt care where they take the money from, the job has to be done. Make Omar take it from the interest on government papers or whatever.
My concern, however, (and after the Perkins fiasco) is a different one: where are the voices of the tb residents? Where are the voices of the hotel and villa owners? Are they not concerned? or do they welcome non existing roads so as to turn tb into an all-inclusive, never to leave the compound, area? Is there a community leader who could coordinate action?
It just canīt work with only a handful non residents voicing their complaints.

@ susiPdR
there cannot be the slightest doubt that the Fort Charles Rd. HAS TO BE FIXED as well. (And it even needs much lesser effort and money as a construction engineer assured me)
Only the very foolhardy would rely on one single access road in and out of the community. I well remember last year when the Fort Charles Rd. was at least passable and the policestation road not.

However, here again, where are the voices of the residents???

I listened to the Perkins on Line Show - but he spoke with the callers so long that even if others wanted to get through - they would be frustrated with waiting on line so long. Not only that but I get the impression that the road situation is a 'Secret' as I cannot hear anything lately about when it will be fixed. It is a fact that it needs urgent fixing -can someone let me in on the 'secret' as I am not hearing anything.
Where is our MP that the people put there to represent our Community? I have not heard him speak since the last flood in the Community.

Road Angel:
I didnīt mean you to call in. I hoped you people woulda storm the TB Hotel, where the show was going on.
anyway, thatīs gone. And I get a funny feeling too. The silence of the TB residents is kind of frightening.
close this thread now. there is a new one.
