Hi all,

I'm interested in any reviews or thoughts or opinions on Button Bay villa in Fort Charles for a large family group. I also have some specific questions to ask.

Anyone stayed or know it well? Please post here or email me....thank you!!

The one thing about button bay is that it very, very far from anything and to get to Frenchman's Bay, or Calabash Bay is not easy. These two areas are where most of the locl restaurants, shops, bicycle rentals etc are. I personally think it's too isolated.

Being very, very far from Calabash/Frenchman's has a particularly strong appeal to many guests who prefer Great Bay, Billy's Bay and Fort Charles -- where bikes and sporting gear are conveniently delivered directly to guests by the ever-reliable Stephanie Genus of Viking's House.
Most villas in these areas have their own drivers, guides, boatmen, masseuse/massuer services, Or, as current guests at Fort Charles' UNFORGETTABLE e-mailed us
this morning at the start of their two week
escape:"Unforgettable is incredible! In fact, the pictures don't begin to do it justice.Woo-woo!
Here in Kingfisher Plaza, touring Treasure Beach
highlites with Ann today. We love it. And you
were/are right about it. Book us again, same
time next year. :D".

I've spoken with the the owners already, I am more interested in experiences of previous guests.

We'll have transportation so distance from town is no problem.

Thanks very much!

Tiverton House,
I realize you have a lot invested in terms of the villas you mentioned. I, however, have no bias whatsoever and just mentioned that Button Bay was extremely isolated...not that that's a bad thing. I know the area extremely well and I found that to be one of the major difficulties with Button Bay. I don't think you need to use every opportunity on this message board to sell your properties.

I'm curious. "My Thoughts" made a posting at 7:05 a.m and 'Tiverton House" made a reply at 7:36. Since the messages go into 'hold' until the webmaster reads them, how would 'Tiverton House' know what 'My thoughts' was going to say? Does 'T-House have access to these messages before they are actually posted.

Button Bay Beach Getaway is not very, very far from anything or 'isolated'. We have a great small private property, we provide transportation free into Treasure Beach.

If Unforgettable is incredible, you get to Button Bay from Treasure Beach before you get to Unforgettable.

To "interesting Observation"; I usually am checking the messages in the early mornings. I will often check the message board, check my own emails, and check the message board again before going off-line. The only two persons with access to this message board are Eric (our esteemed webmaster) and myself.

@ohliz
if u have your own transportation then thatīs absolutely no question. If not, thereīs a reasonable car rental in Frenchmans. Button Bay is lovely and in a very quiet area, but I donīt really find it isolated. However, if you want to meet other tourists, you might not find many of them. And btw, if visitors want to be independant of the "guest-house-transportation" they could call local drivers, just as many local people do.

Thanks all. I'm fine with the location, BB comes with a driver and we'll likely have a car anyway, we usually do. And we will be a large group so will make our own party most of the time anyway.

This seems like it's very cloe to where we stop our boat from TB to Black RIver for dolphins...is it?

Almost right in front -- tho everywhere along TB's coast, the dolphin action seems to be most visible from the end of Billy's Bay
beach up to Fort Charles and on to Pelican Bar.
Your friend Peter's recent pix of dolphin were right off Black Spring Point, about 1/8 mile or less away from BB. Ask Gladys.

To Interesting observation:

It may seems slightly impossible, but sometimes we actually approve messages immediately and others are able to comment on them in remarkable turn around times.

So no conspiracy here...that you know of :-)
