Does anyone know of a reference to a 'Hato de Pereira' somewhere in the TB area?

If this is so it would indicate a cattle and horse ranch during the Spanish occupation of Jamaica. Beef (jerked?) for the 'treasure ships'.

The Pereira or Pear family, are Sephardic (Spanish) Jews who under the protection of the heirs of Columbus were not under the jurisdiction of the Spanish Inquisition.
