Just curious, how does the TB community feel about the new Prime Minister?

I know how I feel already! I'm asking how the community feels. I hope that the new PM will bring a lot of positive changes for the youths and Jamaica overall.

A patriarchial society with a female PM...

A patriarchial society? How did you arrive at that? maybe the word you are looking for is chauvinistic, but in my humble opinion Jamaica is a matriarchial society, the nuclear family to a large extent is diminishing and in its place the single parent with the mother being the head of the household has taken over.

Having said that I hope the new Prime Minister does well, but I am not optimistic, I agree with her detractors, She lacks the intellect to take Jamaica forward and to adequately represent us on the World stage (and Jamaica is on the World stage). I personally do not like her claim to be chosen by the Almighty, as a matter of fact, it frightens the living daylights out of me. Taking that slant is presumptious. She has not done much for her constituency in terms of infrastructure. I pray that for the sake of our Rock, she does well, honestly!!

As some one said, having an old bus and changing the driver does not make the bus new. For the sake of our beloved Jamaica I wish our new driver well and hopes she will achieve some positives, but its hard to say its going to happen.
