You cam make Porty in a day if you're up to focus-ahead fast travel. From MoBay, take EARLY morning bus or route taxi
straight thru to Ochie/about 3-4 hours depending
on how many stops vehicle makes. Noon in Ochie you should be able to find a route taxi to Port Maria to Port Antonio, another 3 hours or so.
If you want a more leisurely trampoose, stay outside MoBay at TIME and PLACE near Falmouth
for a night;a routetaxi to Ocho Rios and overnight at TE MOANA COTTAGE owned by Harmony Hall Proudlocks and sweet;route taxi to Porty and Ivanhoe's Guesthouse intown, Great Huts in Boston Bay, Yohimba Cottages out on Long Bay.
Port Antonio has lots of backpacker-priced
lodging.

Best route would be along the coast which will take you about 3 to 4 hours. When you get to P.A. there are several accomodations available. If you are looking for something very inexpensive and nice try the Demontiville Hotel. You can also try this website to find other locations and their price list http://www.portantoniotravel.com/ Have fun!!!! Oh and make sure you visit River Rio Grande and Reach Falls....

good place to stay just outside port antonio would be River lodge in strawberry fields, as unforgetable as Treasure Beach is. Check their web site.
