My husband and I are coming to visit Treasure Beach area in Dec. 06. I want to bring school supplies. I already have a few saved. How do I go about getting them through airport security?
Any info would be great. I heard that you have to have the correct paperwork?
Thank You
The best way is to don't ask, don't tell.
Unfortunatly, they will hit you with a big duty (most likely) if you "declare" them. So don't.
If they do search you (unlikely) they can be for your personal use.
Some people don't feel comfortable with this, however, it really doesn't seem fair to be taxed on donations.
Check out this thread on customs/school supplies.

(And this is a good time to remind everyone that there's a search link in the upper left hand part of the page that allows you to look at past posts)
We packed one suitcase with paper, pencils, chalk, crayons, rulers etc. We had no problem getting them through customs. Like the previous post said "don't ask don't tell". Be sure that the children will appreciate anything you bring.
