Hi we will be visiting TB in July from the US. I have read two differant articles on what type of money to bring. Should we bring US dollars or Jamaican money? Also we are staying at Jakes do they take credit cards for the hotel charges?

Jake's definitely takes credit cards. I would travel with some US$ in cash, some travelers checks and some JA$. Jake's will cash t-checks into JA$ for you and give you a fair exchange.

Jakes takes credit cards, US dollars, & Jamaican dollars. Having some Jamaican cash for walking around is helpful, but not essential.

Wait to change your US dollars until you arrive on island....you will get the best rate of exchange after you leave the airport. Ask your driver to stop and they will know the best place. Have fun!
