does anyone know what the round trp transportation cost would be to little ochie from treasure beach? thanks!!

Gary Brooks asked for 60 US and we gave him 70 US and treated him to dinner. It was well worth it. The ride through the mountains and towns was eye opening and the fish dinners were the best we've had in the 23 years we have been coming to Jamaica. Leave early in the afternoon so you have time to stop in Junction and spend some time exploring Alligator Pond. Take a camera as well, the mountain views are great.

Go by boat... it's quicker about the same price (unless you go the whole day), lots of fun seeing the odd Manatee or dolphin or speckled stingray jumping up out of nowhere... go early and snorkel at Sunny Island first, see the huge ships at Port Kaiser, land ashore at Little Ochie and eat eat eat!! Return to Treasure Beach late afternoon or at sunset... good times mon, good times!!

Junction is the name of a town about the size of Black River.

I saw that photo of you and Gairy Brooks in the boat at Little Ochie and I realized that I have a similar photo that my wife took of Gairy and I and a collection of Red Stripe bottles after a GREAT meal. I'll scan it and send it in tonight.

Most people thatI know in Great Bay go to Junction to shop.

Best way to go- could you recommend someone with a boat to transport us to Little Ochie?

You will find tons of fellas in Frenchman who have great boats and are great captains... Big Brother Ted, Dennis, Blacka, Peck, Kirk... you only have to ask for any of these guys where you are staying, and they will come a running - or just step out onto the beach first thing in the morning and one of them will see you and approach you to go "on a tour". Just tell them where you want to go, and within a short while, you will be on your way. Personally, I have gone to little Ochie and Sunny Island by boat with Ted and Peck many times, and Black River way with all of them many many times.... arrange for an early departure, take a hat and some sunscreen, and ask your captain to bring some snorkel gear - you won't be disapointed!!
