Hi,my husband is Jamaican, born in Kingston and raised in the parish of Manchester. Some of his family is from St Elizabeth originally. At the moment I am trying to do our family tree and am looking at his side of the family too.I just wondered if anyone over there knows of any good Jamaican geneology sites they could tell me about. Our name is Stephenson which I think is quite common in the area? His maternal side's name is Morgan.Am a regular TB visitor so look at this site evry day nearly!! Love to all who know us.Barbara and Steve (England) xx

Hi,
MY name is toni ebanks, Mother Gloria Ebanks. My grand parents are Lillian and Renee Ebanks from St. Elizabeth. My Uncles and Aunts are Cebert Ebanks, Radwell Ebanks, Calbert Ebanks and Elloise Ebanks.
I was wondering if any one knows of my family and would like to get in touch as we all live in England.

Barbara, the Island Record Office (attached to the Registrar General's Department)is perhaps the best place to do a search.
For a fee, they will do a complete search of your family tree.
Applications can be made online, but, as I understand it, the search will not begin until you have paid a fee.
The website is information@rgd.gov.jm
Best of luck!
