We are attempting to compile names of all fishermen from the South St. Elizabeth area who have been lost at sea. Please send us the names of your loved ones lost at sea so they can be included in a tribute on Saturday night at Sunset as well as a tribute which will be posted on TB.Net in the near future.
Sincere thanks.

Two of my classmates from Great Bay were also lost at sea. Trevor Parchment (Krushev) and Jeremiah Davis (Burro). Burro went to sea with Lloyd Johnson (F.O) and Everton Gordon (Pressa Foot). He starved after drifting for more than a week and had to be buried at sea.Luckily the other two were rescued before they perished.
my father Haldon Hill was one of those brave fisherman that lost his live at sea on the snow boy boat that never return.
I don't know names but I recall reading on this site about a boat (or boats) from Beacon that were lost at sea a year or 2 ago.

Thanks to all who have helped with the compilation of this list.
On a personal note, this has been a very sobering project. To think of so many fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, uncles, and friends who have been taken away over the years by the sea. Thank God modern technology now can provide warnings of on-coming storms and cell phones and radios can provide better communication amoung the fishermen and folks on land. However even with all the new gadgets available, fishing is still considered to be the most dangerous profession in the world with more lives lost each year than in any other profession.
Nuff respect due to all fishermen who face the dangers of the sea every day.
I believe Glen from Billys Bay,and in his boat was a fellow with the last name James nephew to Author James.Rebecca I give you props to do this, when I think of all the wonderful people lost at sea and the poor fishermen who struggles everyday to make a living.... may god comfort them.
Colin Bruce Watchwell (Cal)
Mark (Ican's son) Beacon or Newcombe Valley
Hope I'll remember the rest they are in my head but I just can't get them out.
I have just gotten off the phone with Earl Moxam and, as usual, he had some good suggestions.
First, please understand that this list of names will be placed on TB.Net as a memorial to those who have lost their lives at sea. Although we are hoping to have a complete list of names to be read at the service being held at Sunset Resort on Saturday night, if someone's name is not on the list at that time, it can easily be added afterward on the TB.Net list at any time. Just inform us of the person's name and we will add it.
Second: Earl mentioned a next list which would include the names of persons who had drowned. They may not have been fishermen who were at sea, but they had lost their lives to the sea as well. Please let us know of any persons who we should add to this list.
Thank you so very much, Earl, for your input and time spent on this project.

TRIBUTE TO THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES AT SEA
It raged and tossed and flung its waves and swallowed you in selfish spite;
Now we pay homage, remember you as you sleep through death’s dark night.
~Glasceta Honeyghan~
Hi Rebecca,
Bargy Clarke's sister who drowned many years ago is Netel Clarke. I might add that Bargy was in the sea with her at the time and tried desperately to save her. He was still a child then. This information is authentic. I am their sister.
Thank you Lucia. I have the spelling of her name as Neathel. I assume your spelling is correct so I will make sure it is changed.
Beach Girl, any way you can find out their full names?
Hello All,
Kudos to you. I am writing from Waterbury, Connecticut and just want to add that this is a very positive thing you are doing for those who lost their lives at sea.
Please add Loxley (Wayne)Campbell from Greenfield Dist. my nephew who also lost his live at sea as a fisherman.
Please keep up the good work. God bless
Will do. Thank you Jasmin.
I only remember the names of two of the guys, I had mentioned. Denny Parchment from Southfield who drown at Great Bay and Silvan Bent from Top Hill drown at Calabash Bay.
Thanks Beach Girl. We will add their names to the list.
