I just got back from a two week stay at Calabash Houuse. There have been some negative comments recently concerning the two new cottages. First I'll tell you the negatives. Yes they partially obstruct the view. There is a little more traffic around the house from visitors to Elizabeth and Julie. There are also lots of positives. Julie used to own Trans Love and has done some guiding. She can be very helpful in finding anything you need. Elizabeth has lived in Jamaica for thirty years and can also be quite helpful and did not intrude on our privacy. I'm sure they went through some growing pains but seemed to have them sorted out. Also the best beach in Calabash Bay is in front of the house as well as the best surf in the bay. Biggest surf is at Frenchmans. In my opinion it is still the best value in TB. Combined with Dawns cooking I had as nice an experience as I've had on my other stays at the house.
