I am an american citizen... Can i buy this property without a partner or does the laws of jamaica stipulates I need a partner...

I don't think you need a partner, however as a Jamaican make sure you take a good look at the land you are purchasing. We want strangers to invest in Treasure Beach, we also want to make sure you don't buy land that has lakes and Ponds. Get the most for your money, inquire talk to the friendly people of Treasure Beach, not all that glitters is gold.

Canada Treasure Beach is a good place to invest its a desert, not like Florida that has lakes and ponds and swamp. You should tell that to people who are investing in Florida. Treasure Beach is very solid place it is gold that glitters.

why is it bad to buy property with lakes & ponds? flooding?

For those who think that the area does not have any flooding problems, I direct you to these pictures from TS Wilma in 2005.

Knowing where the flood plain lies is a very wise move before buying property.

PS. We chose the foothills as there is no flooding problem and the silence and air quality are amazing.

Private access from Great Bay main road.

We have created a land use plan based on ecologically sustainable development and economically and culturally sound practices.

eg: water catchment, solar and wind energy, creation of organic plant culture, handcraft/art studio, flora and fauna survey of the land to be done, availability of Taino and other artifacts for a museum.

Is it not time to practice what is being preached about sustainable development?

turey.

PS. Brawta...Cowboys; (Taino/Afro/Euro mix?) are documented in the late Spanish period (1650's) in TB, eat your heart out Texans!, as are iguanas (eaten by the invading English army). Ref: 'The Western Design' by SAG Taylor.

Hi Interested, send an email (tainocacique2004@yahoo.com)

We have not decided to put the land on the market or develop with partners as we have not got the title yet or put the land use plan on paper.

Thanks for your interest.

This feeler has been to know if there is interest in a Permaculture/sustainable development.

It really takes a community to enable such a project to evolve.

The land was purchased with land value inrease being an inevitability (in US $), the main intent has been an ideal location for the beforementioned land/air/water use practices.

Our interest is to assist in the decrease of noise and increase the number Lignum Vitae and Screechy Lizards and Co.

Any feedback appreciated and thanks again to 'Interested' and 'land' for their interest.
