Treasure Beach Forum: TB Runnin's: A great vacation!

Just wanted to say that thanks to this website, I decided to take my first trip out of the US and visit Treasure Beach. I made the plans several months ago and just returned from 10 days in TB (not long enough). Eric, you were my first contact and encouraged me to take the trip - THANK YOU!!

I stayed at Viking's and had a wonderful time. The people, the food, the scenery, swimming in the sea - I loved it all and will be back as soon as I possibly can. I cried my first morning back as I lay in bed listening to the sounds of traffic, instead of the sound of the sea and birds on the pond.

If anyone out there is hesitant to take this trip, even if you are a single woman and have never traveled (as I was), go for it - you'll never regret it!

If you live in TB and know Rooster, please tell him Vickie says hello and is missing her tour guide!

Eric, thanks again for your words of encouragement

Respect, Vickie

Hey, Vickie, I remember that first email way back when.

Glad I could help turn you on to the area...but be warned that travel is a bug you can't get rid of. Watch for those symptoms of itchy feet!

Hope to meet you next time you're down this way.

-Eric

Eric's right, Vickie-- I went to TB for the first time in April (first time I'd been to Jamaica) ... and I've already been back twice! TB gets in your blood. It's a wonderful, wonderful place.

I'm already saving for my next trip to TB. It's cold and rainy here in Oregon and I'm missing the sun and the sea. GG and Nurse Ratchet, how I wish I could take trips back as often as you both have! Hmmm, I'll have to figure out how to get more vacation time from work and extra income to keep these "itchy feet" happy! Maybe one day we'll meet in TB....

Vickie

I'm so pleased to see visitors to TB for the first time were treated well and they are planning more trips. I myself think the natives of that little village are just plain kind and friendly.(GOOD PEOPLE)

This is all very encouraging! My husband and I arrive in the area on December 23 for 2 weeks. This is our first trip to Jamaica. Rented a cottage and looking forward to some quality 'down' time. meeting the locals and enjoying nice weather. Snow here already in Toronto...

Calabash House is the second house on the left after the road to Calabash Bay, just after Villa Caprice if you are heading towards Jakes.

I can't do nothing but agree with Eric and Vickie.. I spent five months in treasure beach this spring, and my feet are itching every day. Not a day goes by without missing Jamaica, and thinking about when and how to go back.
I miss the spirit and the people, and the ocean and the goats, and the heat and the love... And everything really..
Hope to return soon.
Lina.

Daniel, I went to TB right after you did and stayed at Unforgettable. I recall you sending me photos of your stay. we loved it there, and are heading back next week.
Can't wait to spend another 10 days in Treasure Beach !!!

Tell Santa (AKA, Gem, Rambo and Ann) that we miss them, they were great and made us feel right at home.
